No gimmicks, no shticks. Just the right music for the crowd and the occasion.
Experience includes:
I live in Minneapolis with my wife Mercedes and dog Harry. When I’m not spinning tunes, you can find me scoping out all things Mid-Century Modern, supporting local music, traveling or enjoying a quiet night at home with my family.
When my schedule permits, I enjoy bringing favorite artists to the stage with a DJ set and introduction. Previous acts include: The Jesus & Mary Chain, Tame Impala, Psychedelic Furs, Grizzly Bear, Ladytron, OMD, Beach House, St. Vincent, Johnny Marr of the Smiths, The Ocean Blue, Twin Shadow, Howard Jones, Garbage, Thomas Dolby, Cut Copy, Tom Tom Club and more.
The radio program:
Airing live from the 89.3 Current studios every Thursday night at 10pm (CST) with a different theme to the program each week.
Being named after the Joy Division classic, the show is heavily centered around new wave and British pop and will often play host to in-studio sessions and interviews with musicians from those worlds…most recently Bryan Ferry of Roxy Music, Duran Duran’s John Taylor, synth-pioneers Thomas Dolby, Howard Jones and Midge Ure as well as Talking Heads & Tom Tom Club co-founder Chris Frantz.
